An Invitation from IEEE/CIS: CIS Tour de China.
My dear colleagues in China,
IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) is making a strong commitment to outreach our colleagues and students in China who are interested in pursing research, development, and applications in the broad area of computational intelligence. This is believed the first organized efforts in bringing the largest professional organization (IEEE and CIS) and its leading officers to bridge the gaps. All participants are CIS volunteers, willing to devote their precious time and energy for a better future of this technical field in China.
On behalf of IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, we would like to sincerely invite you to join us in one of four cities (Shanghai, Guanzhou, Xi’an and Beijing) we will be visiting during May 10-16, 2006. CIS TOUR de CHINA will provide you with a clear view of how CIS will serve in your professional needs, will feature invited speeches from world-renown scholars in their specialties, and will offer an opportunity of interaction, networking and getting to know each other. I invite you to browse through the details of CIS Tour de China website at http://compsys.ia.ac.cn/~tourdechina/ physically located in the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing.
The volunteers participated include Society President Vincenzo Piuri and many domain experts in various technical areas:
Jacek Zurada- Neural Network, past IEEE Transactions on Neural Network Editor-in-Chief, past Society President
Jim Keller- Fuzz Systems, past IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems Editor-in-Chief, current Vice President for Publications
Nikhil R. Pal, Fuzzy Systems, current IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems Editor-in-Chief
Xin Yao, Evolutionary Computation, current IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation Editor-in-Chief
Kay C. Wiese, Bioinformatics, current Bioinformatics & Bioengineering Technical Committee Chair
Witold Pedrycz, Applications & Granular Computing, current Intelligent Systems Applications Technical Committee Chair, current Administrative Committee Member
Gary G. Yen, Neural Control, past Vice President for Technical Activities, current IEEE Computational Intelligence Magazine Editor-in-Chief, 2006 IEEE World Congress on Computational Intelligence General Chair
The venues for the technical forum at four locations are
May 10, 2006 (Wednesday)-
Shanghai Jiaotong University, 上海交通大学 教师活动中心 , 八角厅会议室
May 12, 2006 (Friday)-
