10 Important Things
Should Be Completed Before The Age of 35
When you enter the 35th year in your life, your youth has been spent half, ‘it’s time of harvest after 35’. If by the time you can not say this, you’ll hate yourself. So before entering into 35, during your bright young period, you’d better keep in mind below 10 important things which should be done:
1. To learn enough knowledge of the industry in which you’re interested & develop yourself to some extent. The age between 20 & 30 is good for learning, it’s your ‘capital accumulation’ years, there should be ‘break out’ after this age.
2. To build your own ‘style’. Find out what you like, no matter it’s clothes, or hobby, or even little special habit between 20 & 30, you can try & change, even often, however, when you arrive 35, better has your stable characteristics & style, or else you’ll be seen as ‘not reliable’ if you change after that age. Do you like flowers on your desk? Ok, then put them on your desk!
3. To have stable family & love. When you’re climbing to the peak of your career, any unhappiness or problem of private life will have bad impact on your work. A person with happy & stable family will have more chance to succeed in career than a person with queasy life.
4. To know what your ‘shortages’ are. Admitting that there’re something you can not do well, or don’t like. Don’t do what others expect you to do but out of your interests. Before 35, you’d better start the job which you really enjoy & good at, or else, after 35, you’ll feel unhappy & the disconsolate mood will cost much of your energy & opportunity to win.
5. To know what your ‘advantages’ are. You should know what you are good at, what you can do better than others. No matter what you do, knowing what you can do better is very important!
6. To save enough money for resigning. In this changeable world, you’ll never always work in one company or one place, when you feel like giving yourself a chance to try another job, you can easily do it if you’ve accumulated enough money as backup force.
7. To build your own ‘friendships’ & ‘relationship net’. This ‘net’ might includes your family members, your friends, the people you’ve ever helped, your colleagues, etc. among these people, some might ever learn from you, receive benefaction from you, or, have common hobby with you. This net need to be built during years. A success of one person is sometimes like a party’s success, you’ll need lots of people scattered around, you’ll rely on them, they can rely on you.
8. To learn to ‘authorize’ others. Many people don’t want to or can not do this, so they can only be put in ‘secondary’ positions. To ‘authorize’ others means you’ve succeeded in half. You should learn to ‘select’ suitable person & put trust on them.
9. To learn to know when you’d ‘dummy up’. Saying wrong words might lead to your failure in career. Sometimes keeping silent will make you appear ‘wise’. The reputation built by keeping your mouth shut will be much better than that built by spreading ‘gossips’ of others.
10. The last but most important thing is: learn to be loyal to people! If by this age you still can not build the credit of loyalty, the shortage will puzzle you all the life. You can never climb to the peak of your career by ‘a stab in the back’ (an arrow shot from hiding)! The real big success will be built on the good & strong personality & integrity of years. After the age of 35, you’ll reap from the loyalty you plant!
